Following in the footsteps of fellow supermodel Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell has announced that she will discover the next beautiful face of the modeling world thanks to a new reality show.
Scheduled to hit television screens in 2013, The Face will air on America's Oxygen network, with the 41-year-old British model coaching a group of unknown models as they embark on photo shoots, runway shows and commercials before the eventual winner becomes “the face” of a major brand.
Campbell’s vision for the show is for it to give audience’s an insider look into the industry that has treated her so well for years. Campbell will be one of three model judges, with the remaining two yet to be revealed. Perhaps fellow 1990s supers Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova or Helena Christensen could join – Christensen has already helped discover fashion faces of the future via the Crystallized Swarovski Unsigned Model Search.
Judging from the response other modeling industry shows have got, the show should be a hit.
