Our favourite female athletes at the Sochi Olympics 2014

The Winter Olympic Games has just ended in Sochi, Russia, running from the 7th to the 23rd of February, and it was not just the athletics that received the attention and media coverage; but the athletes especially. This year’s Winter Games has showcased some of the most beautiful and talented female athletes that have stunned us with their poise and grace in their respective areas. They don’t get to pose while they’re photographed competing and they aren’t made-up like models either. These ladies are just simply breathtaking.

Silje Norendal
The 20-year-old Norwegian snowboarder made her debut at the Olympics this year. The gorgeous blue-eyed, blonde has gained much media attention and she photographs amazingly.

Kiira Korpi
Figure skating is one of the most graceful sports there is and this 25-year-old Finnish girl was definitely born to do this. It has been said that she somewhat resembles the former Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly. Nevertheless, she’s beautiful.

Yuna Kim
Another figure skater that has caught the world’s eye is Yuna Kim from South Korea. The youthful-looking 23-year-old has made $14 million in prize money and sponsorships in the last 12 months and is ranked number 6 on Forbes' list of Highest-paid Female Athletes.

Vanessa Mae
She is a knockout. At 35, she took part in the skiing segment of the Games and was only the third person to represent Thailand at the Games. But that’s not all; she’s also a violinist by career. She’s the very definition of multi-talented.

Torah Bright
This Australian snowboarding stunner, 26, was said to have taken the Australian Olympic Committee to task after it banned the athletes’ use of social media. So, she’s feisty too.

Alyson Dudek
The US brought this girl-next-door beauty, Alyson Dudek, 23, to compete in short track speed-skating, and who had also won the Bronze medal with the relay team in the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.

Clair Bidez
Under all those layers of snowboarding gear, who would’ve guessed that there is a Sports Illustrated model? Although she didn’t even compete in the 2010 Olympics due to an injury, she was scouted to pose for the magazine. And with that sultry face it’s no wonder.

The Summer Olympics is set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016 and we’re sure to see a whole new bevy of beauties emerge then!
